立教大学大学院異文化コミュケーシォン学科のJosephShaules先生（NHK「ニュースで英会話」にもご出演されています）の出版記念講演があります。
今回ご出版されたThe Beginner’s Guide to the Deep Culture Experience: Beneath the Surfaceは、Intercultureに関連するTheoryを非常にシンプルに分かりやすく解説されており、自分自身の海外経験に結び付けられるように導いてくれます。

Description: Experiences abroad can affect our values, make us question our identity, and even shift our view of the world. Yet these changes aren’t always positive or easy to understand because cultural learning involves the unconscious mind. In this open lecture, Joseph Shaules will talk about how to take full advantage of intercultural experiences to achieve personal growth and greater self-understanding. Learn how to avoid common pitfalls. These ideas are discussed in Dr. Shaules’ new book: The Beginner’s Guide to the Deep Culture Experience: Beneath the Surface. There will be a book signing following the lecture. There will be a dinner discussion afterwards (advanced reservation required) where participants will have a chance to share their thoughts with the author.
