Drinks reception and presentation on links between Loughborough University and Japan
24th February 5.30pm
Council Chamber, Hazelrigg, Loughborough University
We would like to invite you to the University to hear more about the University’s hosting of the Japanese Olympic teams as well as our plans to celebrate their presence through a programme of cultural events. Jon Walker, Director of External Affairs, Nick Slater, Director of Arts and Ben Aherne, Business Development Manager within Sports Development will discuss what has already been put in place as well as what is being planned.
We would very much like to use the event to hear your thoughts and ideas for what might be included within the cultural and events programme. Following the presentations there will be a special showing of the Japanese film Ping Pong based on a Japanese novel about two contrasting Ping Pong players. This has been selected by Paul Jenner, from the English and Drama department who has an expertise in Japanese films.

上記、ラフバラ大学のDirector of ArtsのNick Slaterが、
「2012年に向けて日本文化紹介のイベント企画などをしたい、
先ずは在学在住邦人とも大学で何が起きているか知ってほしいし
今後のイベントなどについて意見交換をしたい」という主旨でコンタクトがあり、
プログラムが形になってelfyerが届きましたので投稿いたしました。
私はイベントプログラムの内容には関わっておりません。
その上、私自身が参加できず、あくまで近隣日本人コミュニティへのプロモーション担当です。
Nickからはレスターのグレゴリー与子美さん、ノッティンガムのナイシュ清子さん、
ダービー日本人補習校の佐藤美佐子さんにお送りしているはずです。
対象者はラフバラだけでなくイースドミッドランズ全域の日本人および、
日英カップル＆ファミリーはお揃いで、
また日本人でなくても、日本に関心がある人、日本とつながりがある人、
2012年に向けて日本関連でやってみたいプロジェクトがある人 etc, です。
「来年はもうラフバラにいないよ」という方でも、
この日お時間があったら冷やかしででもいらして下さい。
会場の Hazelriggは噴水前のいちばん格式高い建物ですので見学を兼ねりるつもりで・・・。
追加情報としてNo age restriction, all welcome,子連れOK。
