Location: Rustic Southfork Cabin at Waterloo Recreation Area. Sleeps up to 8 people and wood stove and wood for the stove is provided. The reservation is made with my name.
Code to the entrance Key: Check your email for the combo.
Direction to the cabin: Take I-94, get off at Exit 150. Take northbound on Mt Hope Rd till you hit Seymour Road. Turn right on Seymour Rd. Drive 2 miles or so, and you will see 2 red barns. Park your car by the first barn, and walk to the cabin. Print out the map of the park ( this park is huge) before you leave (http://www.michigandnr.com/Publications/PDFS/RecreationCamping/waterloo_map.pdf), but if you still get lost, call the park office at 734-475-8307.
Things to bring: This cabin is rustic, so there is no electricity. Be ready for the darkness! At minimum if you are staying over, Your bedding ( There is mattress, so all you will need is some kind of linen and comforter or sleeping bag), flash light or lantern, and food and utensils ( Dinner is taken care of by Yukari-san and myself. But bring some snacks, drinks, stuff for breakfast). I was told there is a counter space, but no stove. I will bring my one-mouth propane stove.
Cost: I charged on my credit card $60 for the cabin. Divide cost up amongst the people who're staying over and pay me back...Thanks.
Let's meet at the cabin early afternoon, like 1PM, so that we can do some hiking, biking,or fishing together. Call up Unosan if you are interested in fishing, I think I am going to do some biking ( anyone else interested?)
