友人の香港人フォトグラファー、Dustin Shumが、4/17-5/24、九龍で写真展『奧運健兒寫真 Photogenic Olympians』を開催致します。
場所は、九龍の「光影作坊 Lumenvisum」というギャラリーです。

Photogenic Olympians奧運健兒寫真

この写真展は、昨年夏のオリンピック期間中北京に滞在した僕が、その折りの北京市民の様子と、北京市内の風景をドキュメントしたものです。
熱狂的に高まった北京市民の愛国心が、そこには切り取られています。
一方、それは、今年後半に香港で開催されるアジア大会への、
香港市民の無関心と大きな対比をなしていると言えます。
前シリーズ『こんなのディズニーじゃない！』に続き、
これは、僕にとって二番目の「香港人の視点で見た中国本土」を主題とするドキュメンタリーフォトシリーズです。
4月17日から5月24日の期間中、香港にいらっしゃる方は、是非足をお運び頂ければと思います。

Photogenic Olympians
- an exhibition by Dustin Shum
It will feature the portraits of the civilians and the city scenes of Beijing I took during the time of the summer Olympic in Beijing last year. It shows the overwhelming atmosphere of nationalism and patriotism portrayed in the game.
Notably it makes a stark contrast to the East Asian Game which Hong Kong is going to host later this year. It's a much smaller game, with poor enthusiasm from Hong Kong citizens.
After my previous project "It isnae Disney!" this is my second series regarding mainland China from a Hong Kong citizen's point of view.
