Yaocho is a collective of musicians and djs fusing hip-hop, breaks, funk/jazz, DnB, and electronica influences, to produce a unique, freestyled live experience.
The Yaocho sessions at Cafe´ 1001, in London's inspirational Brick Lane, have been running as a dj orientated project for the last four years. In late 2005, Yaocho evolved to take on a new dimension by regularly featuring live musicians alongside the existing scratch djs.
The freestyle basis of these jams means that everything is improvised on the spot.
