As you may know, I am a volunteer with Save the Children Canada - a
not-for-profit organization whose mission is to fight for children's
rights. Save the Children Canada has been providing development assistance
and emergency relief for children and their families all over the world
since 1921. I am very proud to have been a participant in "Kilimanjaro
Challenge", which raised almost $200,000 for SCC programs in Kenya. I am
also very happy to be maintaining my involvement with this organization as a
volunteer with the Toronto branch.

My friend Laurie and I are organizing another unique fundraiser this fall.
We will be hosting a wine tour on Saturday, October 18th, 2008. Tickets for
this event will be $50 and will include transportation, a wine tour and
tasting at several vineyards in the Niagara-on-the-Lake region, lunch and
snacks. We will be traveling by coach bus, departing from Union Station at
9am, and arriving back in Toronto around 8pm. All proceeds from the day
will benefit children involved in our SCC programmes worldwide.
