初めまして。フィリピンでの音楽イベントへのお誘いです。
ここ６年間、年に４回、フィリピンはマニラに遊びに行く、フィリピンをこよなく愛す私です。折しも、今年は日比国交回復５０周年ということで、フィリピンで出会った全ての素敵なことに、感謝の気持ちを込めて、デラサール大学の語学センター・フィリピン大学で知り合った仲間と共に、企画しちゃいました、日比音楽交流イベント「NAKED SONGS vol.1@ makati,manila」。
ジャンルは、もちろんラテン！日本のミュージシャンとフィリピンのミュージシャン、他様々な国籍の方々によるセッションは、必聴でっす。会場は、グリーンベルトのCAFEHAVANAという場所です。
この時期に、マニラにいらっしゃっる方、また在比の方、ぜひぜひ、心地良くて、情熱溢れる音楽とサンミゲルビール、ラムに体をゆだねにお立ち寄りください。
きっと、グっとくる一時になると思います。”音楽に国境は、ないっす！”

□■NAKED SONGS @ Makati,Manila,Philippine vol.1□■

フィリピンと日本は、飛行機で４時間。距離的にはこんなに近い国同士なのに、とても遠いという印象が強いのはどうしてだろう。事実、お互いの国が持つイメージは、決して良好なものとは言いがたい。ところが、フィリピンには、日本人を含め、たくさんの外国人が暮らしており、その人々が皆、口を揃えていうことは、「大自然と素朴で、大らかで、笑顔溢れるフィリピンが大好きだ」と。また「私たちは、フィリピンにたくさん幸せをもらっている」ともいう。その国で生活した者にしかわからない魅力があるのだ。フィリピンと日本―。ステレオタイプに左右されずに、お互いの文化や環境を尊重 し、魅力を伝え合うにはどうしたらよいだろうか？何か一緒にできることはないだろうか？若者からの新たな視点を盛り込んで、心のレベルで交流ができないだろうか？折しも、2006年は日比国交回復50周年という記念すべき節目を迎える。このタイミングで、両国の友好関係をさらに強く意識し、 新しく、強固な絆を結びたい。そう考えたとき、最も有効なものは「音楽」なのではないか。何も通さず、ダイレクトに伝えられるお互いの国の文化を共有することによって、それぞれの距離が縮められるのではないだろうか。音楽の前で、心を裸にし、相互に理解が深められる、そんな願いを込めて、音楽交流イベント“NAKED SONGS”を開催したい。

Vocal,GuitarのTsuyoshi Yamashitaと、Djembe,Percussion奏者のDaisuke Iwaharaにより結成された、アコースティック・ラテンロックユニット。山下は、１９歳の時に渡米、各地でライブ活動を行う。帰国後はソロアーティストとして活動。一方、岩原は、世界的Djembe奏者MAMADY KEITAと出会いベルギーに滞在、ヨーロッパ・アフリカで多くの音楽家と交流。2001年、東京コレクションファッションショーで知り合った二人が運命的な出会いを果たし、MURPHYを結成。アコースティックギターとジャンベを中心としたパーカッションを使いプリミティブなアコースティックサウンドを奏で、＜アコースティックグルーヴロック＞というMURPHY独自の新たな音楽ジャンルを確立。2005年９月には、デビューマキシシングル【Down to Earth】を発売。雄大な空、海、大地を彷彿とさせるピュアでストレートなサウンドと男の気持ちを力強く且つやさしく表現した歌詞（英語・日本語）との融合はファッション業界やメディア各界クリエイターの間でデビュー前から早くも話題となり、2005年春、ユナイテッドアローズの人気セレクトショップ「AnotherEdition」2005年春夏イメージソングに決定。

It was more than three years ago when Yumi Yasui first told me about music in Philippine―about its wonderful musicians, their vibrant performance in clubs or cafes and most of all their enthusiasm toward music. I have been working as a music event promoter in Tokyo for many years. For these three years it has been my dream to collaborate with such musicians in Philippine. With my sizzling love for them, we declare our first concert [NAKED SONGS]. We are sharing this beautiful planet called The Earth, why don’t we jump over borders and feel each other’s feeling “naked feeling”. With the power of music, I sincerely hope this concert help us destroy our narrow mind and prejudice against each other nation and its people.
. The year 2006 happens to be the 50th anniversary of Philippine Japan restoration of diplomatic relations. The timing is perfect. We can’t ask any more

-Musician’s profile-

[MＵRPHY]　Acoustic Latin rock unit organized by Tsuyoshi Yamashita (Vocal, Guitar) and Daisuke Iwahara (Djembe, Percussion). In 2005, they released a debut CD (Down to Earth). This was in great vogue by fashion circles and chosen as an image song for [Another Edition], which is the popular select shop from Japan’s top fashion company, [United arrows]. Daisuke Iwata started music from an early age and in 94, met world known musician MAMADY KEITA in Belgium. In 97, he joined Mali National Dance Group (LE BALLET NATIONAL DU MALI). In 99, he joined the world tour with Techno artist Ken Ishii and get into the limelite. Tsuyoshi Yamashita went to America when he was 19 and started to play in BAR and music festivals. After coming back to Japan, he started his music life in Tokyo.

〔DJ, Naoki Nakabayashi〕 holds a music event [Mood Stock]. Thanks to his cool selections of music, theirs always around 400 people in the hall. There’s no doubt that his selections of music will make a wonderful night.
