DUB-AMP mixes the trippy echoes and deep rhythmic feel of dub reggae with the wild adrenaline rush of psychedelic rock. DUB-AMP is a band with two drummers, electronics, and stuff: TYME (Laptop) DAVID LAST (Drums & machine percussion) U-SKE YAMA (Percussion) TAKUYA NAKAMURA (Analogs)
TYME is Tatsuya Yamada, a Tokyo producer whose hyper-cut-up tracks draw equally from breaks and instrumental acoustic music. He works regularly with Japanese indie-scene genius Tujiko Noriko, as well as groups of musicians and visual artists.
DAVID LAST is a New York producer who believes there is a place somewhere in between reggae, dancefloor music, and psychedelic rock. He lives there. His new releases on Staubgold with vocalist Zulu are set to pop this summer, he has been making music for childrens' films, and there are other stranger things still to come. He has released with The Agriculture, Francois K's WaveTec label, Foundsound & Unfoundsound, Goosehound, and Osaka tech house label Geometric Deck.
DUB NOMADS is an instrumental dub reggae group based at Studio BPM in Williamsburg.
THE HEDONISTIC HORNS are MOIST PAULA (From MOISTURIZER, Saxophone) and DAVID PRINCE (Trombone).
DF TRAM is a chillout DJ and producer from San Francisco, and part of the Ambisonic Collective and London's Big Chill crew. He has remixed AGK, The Irresistible Force and Bjork.
