Subject: “First Friday” in Austin Powered by MTC Austin*
We are going to have a first Friday (the first Friday of each month) gathering. This gathering is for UT students, friends, families and local people. We would like to make more friends through this activity. “Socialization and Networking,” we believe, will bring us energy to overcome the stressful homework assignments. There will be no speech or specific activity except for just chatting and drinking there.
Some people are from Taiwan, Japan, and other countries, meaning that there would be real experience opportunities for multi-cultural communication.
Why don't you just drop by us with you friends and family at Cain & Abel's at 6pm~8pm on the Friday Nov 2nd? Let’s relax, chat, and drink there. Furthermore, you will definitely get to know some new friends there.

PS. Jeff, Simon, and Yoshi would be always there at First Friday in Austin.

As an opportunity for the multi-cultural communication and networking,
we had the FIRST "First Friday" on 5th this month. 11 people participated it.
We had a very good time, while they had really diverse backgrounds.
Please accept our warm regard and Thanks for your participation.
Participants range from about 20 to the mid of 40 years of age, I guess.
7 Americans, 3 Japanese, and 1 Taiwanese. Some of them are from
MSSTC program, two local residents, and name a few. Most of all,
2 American managed to speak Japanese so fluently, it seemed good
for English and Japanese language exchange and study.
Next First Friday would be on the November 2nd, same time and same place.
We will remind you when it comes.
異文化コミュニケーション、ネットワーク作りの一環として、肩肘のはらない飲み会
First Friday第一回5日に開催できました。参加者は11名でしたが、いろいろ
バックグランドの違う方があつまり、愉しい集まりとなりました。ご参加いただいた
皆様ありがとうございました。
年齢層は、20歳ぐらい〜40歳代半ばぐらいまで、アメリカ人7名、日本人3名、
台湾人1名。 MSSTCの学生、現地の方、さまざまな方がお越しでした。
女性3名。アメリカ人のうち2名の方は日本でコミュニケーションをとることが
できる方で、英語＆日本語の勉強の場としても有効だったと思います。
次回は11月2日、同じ時間同じ場所を計画しています。近くなりましたら、
詳細ご連絡させていただきます。
