We would like to announce that the next GSID Alumni Association Members’ General Meeting and Party will take place on October 20, 2012 at Nagoya University.
21 years passed since Graduate School of International Development was established. By March 2012, 1234 people got Master’s Degree and 244 people got Ph.D. (among them 183 people (75%) are international students) at GSID. We have a large alumni association. Four years ago, an international project aimed to build academic network in Asia was launched and GSID played the central part in it. In February of 2009, the meeting of the GSID Alumni Association in Thailand took place. 47 people (including 17 Thai Alumni Association members) participated in it. Shortly afterwards, in March of 2010, the GSID Alumni Association in Cambodia started its activities. On June 3rd of 2011, the GSID Alumni Association in Tokyo held its meeting. After its success, the First GSID Alumni Association Party took place at Nagoya University with the participation of 95 of its members. This year, the GSID Alumni Association’s General Meeting and Party will be held on the Home Coming Day of Nagoya University. We believe that this year’s event will help association members to expand their professional networks.
