BIOGRAPHY
The last World quarterpipe champion (the event was canceled after the 2004 season), Scotty Lago is one of the fastest growing names in the industry. With a cover shot on the November 2005 issue of Transworld Snowboarding and the overall best male rider honor in the 2006 Transworld Team Challenge, his stock is rapidly on the rise thanks in part to solid competition results, magazine shots and a growing list of solid video parts.

UPDATE
Lago's put together a great first run during the Men's Halfpipe finals, scoring 42.8. He crashed on his second run, however, his first run score was enough for him to hold on to win the bronze medal.

FIRST TRACKS
Lago picked up snowboarding at a local tubing hill in Amsbury, Mass., and since mom and dad "backed him from day one," he eventually moved into competitions and a slot on the U.S. Team.
