BASIC Presents: The Fausto Showcase
@Fridge
22.00 - 06.00
Music : Hard House and Trance

Holland. A Dance Music Paradise.

Just across from the water from us is a place where a single DJ can sell out a stadium concert quicker than U2. A place where Dance Music is King and Pop is forced to skulk in its shadow. A place where a DJ named Fausto is bigger than Westlife and Craig David combined.

Fausto Talone aka DJ Fausto is virtually a household name in the hedonistic capital of the world. Born of the same nationality of the likes of Tiesto, Ferry Corsten and many more, he has risen to the lofty heights of the world scene with a blend of unique charisma, outright enthusiasm and above all a pair of the most skilled mixing hands in the business.

Basic is once again proud to bring you another Exclusive DJ performance. For the very first time in 2005, the legendary Dance Valley, Impulz & HQ Resident will be travelling to London to perform an exclusive 2 hour showcase of Past, Present & Future international hard dance mayhem. With an eclectic gathering of UK supporting artists, the man himself will be taking over the Fridge for one night only. If you're looking for that spark to re-ignite your passion for Hard Dance or for that something that extra bit special....then you simply cannot afford to miss this extravaganza!

On Friday October 14th, highly respected techno imprint Flux Recordings takes over The End. An electronic stalwart for London, always delivering the finest DJs from across the world, Flux presents a stunning main room line up. Techno hero Umek (Recycled Loops) will be playing a 4 hour set. Support comes from mainstay Oliver Ho (Meta), and Flux main man Chris Finke (Flux / Atomic Jam / Split). Hailed as one of the most exciting new names on the global techno scene of the 90s, Umek has more than fulfilled his promise, going on to become one of the leading lights of the techno world. Slovenia's finest export is a highly innovative production artist and DJ, who has conquered all with a series of exceptional productions, and awe-inspiring DJ sets which always maximize the potential of the sound. Taking to the decks for a 4-hour main room set, Umek will be pushing The End sound system to its limits. Forward-thinking producer and DJ Oliver Ho joins Umek in the main room, to play a special electro set. With Flux promoter Chris Finke also on the decks this will be a fantastically powerful event. Over in the lounge, Acclaimed collective ALT*CTL will be taking over the space for an electro-based party exploring the many facets of the genre. The ALT*CTL system DJs will be joined by the crème de la crème of today's talent. Producer and DJ Chris Clark (Warp Records) heads heading up a stellar cast, bring acidic electro and techno into the mix. Meanwhile UK electro bass champion Andrea Parker will be playing out her own brand of deep, dark electro. Completing the triad of ALT*CTL guests is the highly talented Shelley Parker (Haywire) bringing her endlessly inventive and eminently danceable mix of electro, acid and techno to The End's lounge.

The night will be further embellished by visuals from Kurst (ALT*CTRL), Pixeljuice (Adverse Camber), and AC/VC (Adverse Camber). With techno star Umek leading an incredibly diverse and exciting line up of DJs, Flux Recordings at The End is an event that does more than simply deliver the best music from the best DJs. Flux Recordings will be a night of pure inspiration, demonstrating the strength of the music and the creative ability of its key players, pushing forward into the musical beyond. Be at The End on Friday October 14th for this special one-off from Flux Recordings.
