【1】 Your house is very homely イギリスでは「あなたの家は本当に家庭的でいいわね」 アメリカではhomelyはダサいとかって意味があるらしい。 【2】 do you have a rubber ? イギリスではrubberは消しゴムだけどアメリカだとコンドームを意味するらしい。 【3】 fag イギリスでは煙草らしいけどアメリカでは同性愛者って意味があるらしい。。
他にもイギリスに6年行ってた人にちょっと酔っ払った感じで電話で話してたときpiss headと言われた事があります。 実は私ほとんど酒が飲めない下戸なんですけどねぇ^−^ ちなみに【piss head】 って飲んだくれって意味だそうです。 これはイギリス英語かどうかは良く知りませんが。 後は一緒に今生活はしているaussieにhave you had a tea て聞かれた事があります。なんでもオーストラリア(イギリス?)ではtea=dinnerに当たるそうです。唯この英語は少し古い英語のようです。

In australia we'd say "do you have the book", or "where's the book"
Australian English and British english are pretty much the same, the english tend to use different words compaired to australians, but we still understand each other completely. American English is a thing completely of its own
