ハロウィンの予定はお決まりでしょうか？
今年もHOLICがスペシャルなハロウィン・パーティーをホクストン・スクエアーにあるUnderbellyで開催します。仮装している人も仮装してない人も、どちらもハロウィンムードを楽しめる様なデコレーションなどで、ハロウィンムードを盛り上げます。

今月のゲストには伝説の男、Mr Gが登場！！90年代初頭にテクノの重鎮としてThe Advent名義で活動し、Richie Hawtin, Kevin Saunderson, Derrick Mayなどを８０ポンドのギャラでブッキングしていたと言われています。
The Adventを脱退後は、音楽業界から姿を消していた時期もありましたが、ここ数年前より活動を再開。ハードなテクノのイメージを払拭して、ハウスのトラックを数点リリースし再度注目を浴び、最近ではRadioslaveのレーベルRekidsよりフルアルバムをリリース。日本にもRekidsのショーケースでRadioslaveと一緒に来日するなど話題の人です。

What a great time we had at HOLIC warehouse rave! Thanks go out to all the DJs, VJs and ravers who helped make our warehouse event such a big success. Special thanks must go to our guests Matthew Burton and Mountain People who played tight grooving sets our guest VJ AVJ from Anomalous Visuals. We were happy to invite Matthew to join our Holic family and Mountain People to join us once again.


But enough of what has passed, let’s look to the future! We are proud to announce that next month’s Halloween party guest is a personal hero of ours and an underrated underground talent; Mr G. Starting his journey into music in the late 80s, Mr G was an original London soundboy, moving his reggae soundsystem from old house to dancehall and putting on parties. Although starting out with bass orientated music, Mr G later found himself being moved by the house and techno scene at the time, booking artists such as Richie Hawtin, Kevin Saunderson and Derrick May to play for him when they could be booked for as little as ��80!


Fast-forward 20 years and it seems like every accomplished DJ has a Mr G record they use as a secret weapon tucked away in their bag. It was only recently that we were at the bar at a secretsundaze party in Dublin when a track came on that we had to know what it was. Pushing people over in our rush to the DJ booth we were told it was Mr G’s recently released Daily Prayer. As a master producer, it is that sort of reaction that a G track gets! With a slew of releases to his name, it was only in 2010 that he finally released his debut album to critical acclaim on Radioslave’s Rekids label. Hear all these productions as Mr G will lay it down for us with a LIVE set.

Joining Mr G will be our residents Tomoki Tamura, eightBitRate and Lookleft&Bearight. Of course as it’s the spooky Halloween weekend we will be decorating the Underbelly in Hoxton accordingly! We are very lucky to be using this unique art deco fusion hoxton venue for the first time. We are convinced that it's a special atmosphere to listen to house and techno music. Usually, the venue closes at 1am but as it is a Holic takeover we will have the venue til 5am. In light of the occasion, we would love to see as many of you in fancy dress as possible. We are sure that our VJs [.hek], Kohey and KAZ will have some Halloween surprises for you as well.
