Since we're talking about brit-pop/british bands, etc...The M''s are actually a Chicago-based band, but they make fuzzy brit-pop sound in the vein of 60's & 70's supergroups The Kinks, The Clash and The Beatles. They've had a residency at Schubas, a spot alongside The Decemberists and Les Savy Fav at Pitchfork’s inaugural Intonation Fest and a tour with windy-city mainstays Wilco. They've also played alongside or toured with Broken Social Scene, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, The French Kicks, Spoon, Stars, Stephen Malkmus, The Walkmen and Yeah Yeah Yeahs - to name a few. They will also be at SXSW this year.
