For Skream, Benga and Artwork, the conundrum was deciding whether to put out their records in secret or own up and perform their music on tour. They chose the latter, and revealed the force behind Magnetic Man during a series of live dates in March.
Magnetic Man Benga, Artwork and Skream are behind Magnetic Man
Skream, Benga and Artwork's decision is to the benefit of all dubstep fans, as their audio-visual live show is not to be missed. Kinetic images crackle behind the DJs as they spin sparky electronic beats, including tunes such as Glitch and The Cyberman.
Magnetic Man are joined in room one by fellow dubstep producer Bass Clef. Despite his hefty beard, which could be worn as an effective disguise, the Hackney producer is happy to also be known as Ralph Cumbers. He performs futuristic, wonky dubs with the aid of a mixing desk, a theremin and lots of cowbell.
