•Born in Eskişehir,Turkey in 1963, Suat started playing doumbeks at age 14 in Frankfurt, Germany and played in various oriental bands both in Germany and the U.K.

•He moved on to Cairo, Egypt in 1989 for a while, and played with famous artists like Muhammed Fuat in concerts and studio recordings, and here he developed his own
•typical style.

•Suat settled down in İstanbul in 1996 and performed with many famous local and international artists in concerts and albums. Furthermore, he participated in many festivals where he integrated the doumbek beat with Jazz, African and Caribbean sounds.

•In 2001 he established his own band “HAREM”. With 4 doumbek percussionists and a DJ , his band was the first to combine the doumbek rhythms with the Techno sound. The great success resulted in 4 album records being sold at 52 countries, hit singles, sold out parties and many international concerts.

•In 2003 Suat played the sound samplings
on Arabic and Turkish rhythms for the worlds first Doumbek plug-in for Steinberg’s Wizoo software.

•In 2006, his band named “Grup Mozaik” played at various
jazz festivals, the last of which is Berlin Jazz Festival.

•He signed with Remo in 2006 to promote the new Doumbek range he designed, and since then has been at Frankfurt Musikmesse with the same purpose every year.

•Suat toured the 2007 “Big Bang Percussion Festival” in
Holland playing together with worldwide known artists as
Selva Ganech, Glen Velez, Keith Carlok, Rhani Krija, Keyvan Chemirani and the Hip Pickles.

•At a workshop in Frankfurt Musikmesse 2008, he performed with John JR Robinson, who has played with Michael Jackson, Madonna and numerous other stars.

•His new band “Grup Istanbul Perküsyonist” consists of 1 DJ
and 4 percussionists. The band performs at several concerts
and other events.
