Autumn, the most baleful of all seasons, can bring with it many things, and back in the blustery months of late 2005, we at DC received a meticulously packaged tape reel from one Vincent Markowski. The package bore the red and white eagle crest of 'Rzeczpospolita Polska' and a return address specifying a location somewhere close to the coal black waters of the Baltic Sea. Accompanying the tape was a rather unusual letter of introduction from Mr. Markowski himself.

Claiming himself to be 'related by blood' to an undisclosed member of the DC family, he also explained that he enjoys a keen interest in moths (describing himself as a Lepidopterist) and that, as a sufferer of 'hypnopompic hallucinations', his musical compositions are almost always created whilst in a trance like state caused by a genetic glitch that prolongs the usually momentary state between sleep and wakefulness. Further to this he stated that DC Recordings 'would be soon releasing my musical workings' and that he would 'one day near be visiting' in order to inspect our 'nice good facilities for moth lights'.

As you might imagine, we were simultaneously bemused and intrigued. Listening to the tape itself confirmed our suspicions; yet again, a deranged genius had entered our oddball orbit and we would simply have to deal with the consequences. It is as such that we found ourselves in a position to share with you the works of Vincent Markowski, a remarkable individual in terms of both his revelead talent and his obscured person.
