The nicest thing I can say right now is, you're not alone
In fact, there are so many other languages that use this alphabet, and even more other languages which mix the sounds of two letters from their own alphabet to make up the pronunciations for their words.
I my self am a Bi-National, Tri-Lingual circus on legs.

And although the spell checker (pre-installed on Firefox) will save me from embarrassment 10 out of 10 times, not everything in this world has a spell checker built in.
