Amanda Rogers (The Pleasants)

シンガーソングライターとして音楽ファンからミュージシャンまで数多くの人々を魅了し続けるAmanda Rogers。デビュー当初よりDashboard Confessionalなどアメリカを代表するSSWからのリスペクトを受け、メインストリームでも成功を収めるアーティストである。当時は日本国内においてもオンラインショップを中心に作品が爆発的なヒットを記録し、Redioheadの「No Surprises」やAt The Drive-inの「198d」のカバーを収録したEPも話題となった。Amandaはバンド活動に積極的に参加していた時期もあり、Vans Warped Tour 2005への出演経験などからエモやスクリーモ、パンク系のリスナーからの支持も得たが、そのように急激な刺激と変化を求め続けた結果、1度すべてに終止符を打つことにする。そして、自身のレーベルDo It Together Recordsを新たに設立し、彼女の作品や才能あるアーティストのリリースや宣伝を全て自ら行っている。

彼女のライブサポートを勤めるバンド“The Sketchy Indians”の
Mike Mattaと始めたユニットがThe Pleasants。
