Stampd’ LA was created by designer, artist, and entrepreneur Chris Stamp as an avenue to innovative modern footwear. The Stampd’ evolution was birthed at the beginning of the shoe customizing craze. Chris began customizing shoes as a method of expression by hand painting 2-D, pop culture inspired graphics on Chuck Taylors and Toms. The style caught on, and soon he was collaborating with the likes of N.E.R.D, Ellen Degeneres, DJ Steve Aoki, and dozens of other celebrities. In addition, Chris developed a fully interactive website for customers to design a personalized, one-of-a-kind shoe. The response was overwhelming and led to the development of Stampd’ LA Footwear. Chris soon partnered with an LA-based manufacturer to develop high quality footwear that continues to exceed industry standards.

Spring 2009...
The Spring 09 Stampd' LA collection mixes non-traditional shoe fabrication methods with a modern interpretation of graphics based on the Los Angeles culture. LA is place of cultural change, liberal thinking, and influential aesthetics, all of which play a major part in directing the line toward its fruition. From the tongue and cheek Gardend' design to the more streamlined and contemporary Numberd' design, the first collection relays a strong message of classic chic meets humored functionality.


BRAND HISTORY...

Stampd'LAは2006年にChris Stamp (クリススタンプ)によってスタートした。当初はコンバースのハイカットを使用した完全カスタメイドのシステムを取り入れ世界中からオーダーが殺到し,
その中でもDJスティーブ青木コラボモデル、N.E.R.Dコラボモデル等が彼の代表作である。
ついに2009年SPRINGより彼の新たな展開がスタートする。
スタイルは、ベーシックながらハイセンスなデザインポイントを加え、メインにコットンキャンバス地を使用し、随所に本革をミックスさせた他に類を見ないスタイル。
SPRINGは6つのデザインにそれぞれコンセプトを持たせ、シンプルながら完成度の高いラインナップになっている。次回2009年秋冬のラインナップは新たにローカットが登場し、トータル16ものバリェーションからの構成になる。今後が最も楽しみなブランドである。
