ランドゥーガ研究会とは？
佐藤允彦（ピアニスト・作編曲家）が提唱する集団即興演奏の方法論「ランドゥーガ」を普及発展させる目的で設立された任意団体です。

ランドゥーガとは？
ランドゥーガは、佐藤允彦が提唱する集団即興演奏の方式です。
クラシック、ジャズ、ロック、邦楽、民族音楽といったジャンル、また楽器の種類、演奏技術や経験などにかかわらず、参加した人たちが同じように楽しめる音楽のかたちがあるのではないか、という発想から出発しました。

What is Randooga?
The great jazz pianist, maestro Masahiko Sato, whose activities vary from cinema musical score to authentic Jazz and free improvisation, originated the concept to respond and communicate with different categories.
Firstly the concept of Randooga was originally a mixture with Asian music, world music, and Jazz. The concept was revealed in 1990, at the Jazz summer festival
live at Yomiuri Theater, Live Under The Sky 1990. The concept was a kind of “beyond category”, gathering with musicians from Brazil, Korea, America, etc and play together the music. After the 2-3 year activity, Mr Sato began to teach non-professional musicians with open-mind how to play and how to communicate with their instruments beyond some musical categories, started from 1992. Since then, the musical and communicational seminars are mainly held in Tokyo, sometimes in Sendai and other areas. The method is basically to listen to other sounds very carefully and understand what it really means and respond it like verbal communications. At present, the "pupils" (that Mr Sato taught how to play) hold the seminar locally 2-3 times a year and sometimes
join some events as Randooga Ensemble. Seminar/lecture
1) No musical scores are required.
2) No sharing the same musical categories.
3) Anyone is welcome, regardless of nationalities,
gender, ages, etc.
4) Forget your own musical background and try to communicate
with different instrumentals and other people.
5) Lecture fee/charge : basically free (there's some exceptions)
6) Time and place : sometimes changes but mostly held on
Saturday and at a public facilities of Satagaya/Tokyo.
Randooga Workshop is a non-profit organization. No pursuit to commercial success and no chasing to spiritual/religious field. Basically the purpose of Randooga Workshop is to spread many ideas to share, enjoy and communicate with someone
