In the world of underground house music where industry professionals are becoming harder than ever to please, Chicago based Kenny Carvajal is slowly carving a niche in the scene by repeatedly delivering well-produced original productions and remixes on notable record labels such as, Music 101 Recordings, Phuture Sole Recordings, Crash Records and Smooth Agent Records. All of which has gained full support from a long list of legendary DJs and Producers beginning with Tony Humphries, Glen Underground, Dr. Bob Jones, Dino & Terry, Ron Trent, Kerri Chandler, 280 West, DJ Camacho and Mark Farina.

Like most, he started out as a DJ submitting demo mixes to promoters, leading to guest appearances at loft parties and nightclubs around Chicago. Soon after, he gained a residency at Music 101’s M2O where he performed alongside worldly renown DJs; Jerome Sydenham, Kerri Chandler, Playin 4 the City, Alton Miller and The Rurals to name a few.

Influenced by a variety of musical styles such as Jazz, R&B, Latin, and house, he names Masters at Work, Frankie Feliciano and Blaze as the producers he mostly admires. I've always been into music and have always had instruments around since I was 9. But hearing music by these guys made me take it more seriously."

His productions have received huge support from some of the biggest names in the industry. OM Records licensed "Rise", his first production, in 2002 for Mark Farina's mix CD entitled "Connect". Followed by his remix of "Africa", licensed by Sheer House for the "Durban's Finest V1" Mix CD by DJs Tira & Sox, as well as "My words", licensed by Su su Records for the 2nd Southport Weekender Compilation by non-other than Kevin Hedge of the Blaze. More recently, his drum work can be heard on Shaheer Williams's "Show me" featuring Stephanie Cooke on Soulgroove Records.

Kenny's passion comes from the continuous support he receives from his peers. He finds himself very fortunate to have the opportunity to travel and perform for audiences from all over. And more than anything, to meet people he admires... people he would not have met otherwise.
