■（Andy Warhol, 1928年8月6日 - 1987年2月22日）はアメリカの画家・芸術家でポップアートの旗手。ウォーホールとも表記。本名アンドリュー・ウォーホラ (Andrew Warhola)。
■シルクスクリーンの技法を用い、派手な色彩で同じ図版を大量に生産し、アートを記号化した。古典的で難解な芸術とは異なり、その絵柄はわかりやすく、ポップ・アートとして人気を博す。しかし、そこには資本主義や大衆文化のもつ大量消費、非人間性、陳腐さへの邁進、空虚さが表現されていると見ることもできる。ウォーホルは普遍性を求め続け、彼の作品は資本主義やマス・メディアと深く関連している。また死のイメージもしばしば現れる。ロックバンドのプロデュースや映画制作なども手掛けたマルチメディアのアーティストである。銀髪のカツラがトレードマーク。

☆【ジャン・ミッシェル・バスキア】
□（Jean-Michel Basquiat, 1960年12月22日 − 1988年8月12日 ）はニューヨーク市ブルックリンで生まれたアメリカの画家。スプレーを使ったグラフィティ・アートで有名になった。
□プエルトリコ系移民の母親と、ハイチ系移民の父親間に生まれ、幼い頃から絵を描き、芸術的な活動をするように母親から奨励されていた。17歳の頃から地下鉄、スラム街地区の壁などにスプレーペインティングを始める。活動を続けるうちに高校を中退したバスキアは、Tシャツやポストカードを売りながら生計を立てていた。徐々に彼の描いたスプレーペインティングは評価され、キース・へリング、バーバラ・クルーガーの助力の許にニューヨークで個展を開くようになった。

★☆1983年に二人は出会い作品を共同制作するようにもなる。1987年のウォーホールの死まで二人の互いに刺激しあう関係は続いたが、バスキアは徐々にヘロインなどの薬物依存症に陥り、妄想癖が見られるようになった。
1988年、薬物依存により27歳で死去。

The spray painting that he drew slowly was evaluated, and Keith came to open a private exhibition in ring, evaluation of help of Barbara in New York.
