Following their standout appearance at InTheCity Brighton two-piece From The Wreckage get set to release their debut single ‘Really Don’t Mind’, produced by Paul Corkett (Biffy Clyro, The Cure, Placebo, The Coral) on Monday 2nd April 2007.
From The Wreckage are a young Brighton based rock band who met and formed eighteen months ago in their home town of Preston, Lancashire. Comprising of just two members Greg Holden (Vocals/ Guitar) and Patrick Marsden (Drums), the band take this reductive policy and use it to devastating effect, creating a fascinating brew of guitar rock that is both stripped bare and lavishly detailed. The upshot is a head on clash between the math-rock of Biffy Clyro and the uncomplicated honesty and melodic directness of Arctic Monkeys, whilst simultaneously evoking the youthful punk charm of The Kooks.
Having only been together for eighteen months FTW have already been turning heads on the live scene, landing supports to Idlewild, The Subways, Radio 4, Little Man Tate, Serafin and GoodBooks, as well as recording a session for BBC Radio.
With interest and support for the band building daily, 2007 looks set to be a busy year for From The Wreckage.
The debut download single ‘Really Don’t Mind’ is set for release on Mon 2nd April 07, on Noise Underground (Cat No: NU015).
