2nd quarter now and the 49ers are driving again. 27 yard to Boldin to the 50 yard line.
The game is very physical and both teams are hitting the other very hard. The 49ers already used 2 time outs and we are only in the early stages of the 2nd quarter.
GB stop the 49ers. 12 minutes left

GB RB Lacy fumbles the ball at the GB 14 yard line. The 49ers takes over.
The 49er commit a 5 yard penalty on 3rd down and 1. The GB take the penalty and Kaepernick run and get hit by Mathews out of bounds and both team get in a big fight. Both teams get penalties and repeat the third down.
On 3rd down Kaepernick passes to Boldin for a touchdown.
The 14ers are up 14-7 with 8 minutes left in the 2nd quarter.
This will be a very exciting game and I expect more hits and physical play.
Clay Mathews should have been ejected because he jumped and hit Kaep way out of bounds but
Joe Staley hit Mathews back.

GB starts on their 4 yard line and they can't get a first down. They punt back to the 49ers. The ball is on the 49ers 43 yard line. Good starting position but they do nothing and go 3 and out.
GB get the ball back on their 20 yard line with 6 minutes left and the score is 14-7 49ers

GB is moving the ball very well but they have a holding penalty which takes them back a bit.
Roger passes to the TE who deflects it and the rookie Reid intercepts the ball and takes it back to GB 2 yard line. The reply shows that Reid was down by contact and the ball goes back to the 49ers 44 yard line with 4 minutes.
The 49ers can't run the ball today. GB had done a good job stopping the run.
Kaep passes to Boldin for 22 yards. Boldin has been a good job today.
Again the 49ers can't run the ball. GB sack Kaep. 3rd and 18 at the 2 minute warning of the 2nd half.
The 49ers can't convert on 3rd down and try 48 yards fg but Dawson can't connect.
GB has a good field position with 1:30 left.
GB get 15 yard roughing the passer and 15 yard pass completion. The ball on the 49ers 45 yard line
after a holding penalty on GB.
Rogers throw an interception but the 49ers were offside. Still 3rd and 15 from the 49ers 40 yard line.
Poor tackling by the 49ers and GB get the 1st down with 52 seconds left.
Now 3rd and 1 with 39 seconds and GB run the ball and get it.
TD GB. Again poor tackling by 49ers DBs and GB TE Finley breaks some tackles and get the TD.
Game is tied 14-14 with 16 seconds left. 49ers defense looks very tired.
Hail Mary at the end of the half by Kaep but it is knocked down.

The 49ers start the 2nd half with a nice drive so far. Boldin is having a monster game so far. But the 49ers can't run the ball. No read option plays so far
Another big gain for Boldin. His 9th catch on GB 15 yard line.
Another awesome catch by Boldin, almost a touchdown but was out at the 1 yard line.
Touchdown 49ers. Kaep to Davis for 1 yard. GB thought it was a run but the 49ers passed. 21-14 with 9 minutes left in the 3rd quarter.

3 and out for GB to start their 2nd half and they punt the ball.
The 49ers start at their own 35 yard line with 7 minutes left.
The 49ers try to run the ball. 3and out for the 49ers after a dropped pass by the rookie tight end.
GB has the ball again on their 31 yard line. GB trying to run the ball and trying to dominate the game physically. 49ers commit 15 yards penalty and GB moving the ball and in 49ers field.
Rogers is passing the ball well and there is no 49ers pass rush at all.
TD GB, Nelson catches a pass from Rogers.
21-21 with 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter.

The 49ers are back again and 2 nice passes by Kaep and now they are on the GB 30 yard line.
The 49ers just can't run it. Kaep try to pass but no one is open and he runs for 15 yard gain.
1st and goal on the 9 yard line. Incomplete pass and sack on the 2nd down, false start on 3rd down
and now we are 3rd and goal on the 23 yard line.
4th quarter started and the 49rs cant score a TD and will try for field goal.
Dawson makes 27 yard field goal 24-21 with 14 minutes left in the 4th quarter.

GB starts their drive and smith gets his second sack of the day. 3rd and ten and Bowman makes a great play by deflecting a pass. After the punt another 15 yard penalty on the 49ers.
This is the time the 49ers need to take control of the game. I want to see a long drive to take some time off.
16 yards catch by the FB miller. Nice protection. The read option is not working today and neither the just running the ball is normal formation. Boldin is injured adn I hope he is ok.
3rd down and 14, William was wide open but could not make the catch. Punt for the 49ers.
10 minutes left 24-21.

GB are moving the ball with no huddle offense and get a huge play from Rogers to Nelson all the way to the 49ers 15. GB touchdown, Lacy scores a TD. GB 28-24. They just dominated the 49ers on this drive and take their first lead of the game with 8 minutes left.
49ers need to find an answer.

49ers start on their 20 yard line, run by Kaep and again Boldin 43 yard catch over the middle.
Hunter gets a big run all the way to the 9 yard line. 1st and goal, another wasted timeout by the 49ers.
This was a fast drive and now only 6 minutes left.
Gore gets a nice run all the way to the one yard line. Touchdown 49ers. Gore a 2 yard walk to the
end zone. 31-28. What a game and this will be a very tight finish.
The 49ers defense needs to step up and make some stop here. They can't afford big plays, missed
tackles and penalties.

Ball on GB 8 yard line wit 5 minutes left. Who is going to step up?

Brooks breaks up a pass on first down. Rogers escapes a sack on 2nd down and down after 5
yard gain. Rogers get rushed and almost sacked and throw incomplete pass. 3 and out.

Ball on 49ers 34 after the punt with just 4 minutes left. The offense need to run the ball and take some time off.

Catch by Boldin on 1st down for 7 yards. Gore stuffed for no gain on 2nd down. 3rd and 4 with the
clock running at 3 minutes. What a play, fake run and action play pass to Davis for the fist down.
Another monster game by Davis.

Gore runs for few yard and GB takes a time out. 2nd and 6 on GB 40 yard line. Another run by gore for a yard and another timeout by GB. 3rd and 5 with 3:05 left. Gore run from the option for 3 yards but can't get the first down. GB takes a time out.
49ers will go for it on 4th and 2.
49ers try to draw the GB packers offside but they don't.
Now will go for it again. Kaep runs to his right and seems he has nothing but then passes to Boldin
for a first time. Boldin over 200 yards and kaep over 400 yards passing.

2 minutes warning and both teams out of timeouts.

Gore runs for 4 yards and now 3rd adn 6 with the clock running down. Kaep runs on fake handout and slides. FG attempt with 30 seconds left. Dawson makes 33 yard FG.
26 seconds left 34-28 49ers. Special teams need to make sure no big return and GB player takes a
knee. GB needs to score a TD with 26 seconds left.

Rogers big pass to Cobb but he can't go outbound. One last chance bu rogers get sacked by smith.

49ers win their season opener. What a game.

The 49ers looked good yesterday but they need to play better defense.
Next weekend game is against Seattle and it will be very tough to win on the road against a good physical team and loud crowd.
