Washington, Sept 15: Legendary singer Sir Elton John has advised British pop star Robbie Williams to let bygones be bygones, and not adopt a revengeful attitude for enemies from the past.
The 'Rocket Man' star, who has reportedly ended his public feud with singer George Michael, has instead urged Angels singer Williams to move ahead in life, and concentrate on the amazing success he's had as a solo artist.
Williams is currently involved in a feud with former Take That manager Nigel Martin-Smith over a song on his new album, which lawyers believe could be libelous.
In an outspoken track, 'The Nineties', Williams says how he has fantasized about gouging the pop mogul's eyes out during his time with the chart-topping boy band.
But John has asked him to get over his feud with Martin-Smith because it will end up destroying him.
"I wish he would please just let it all go. All it is doing is burning a hole inside of him, eating him up, making him angry and miserable. He should give himself a pat on the back and be proud of what he's achieved. He's proved himself - he doesn't have to do it any more," Contactmusic quoted John, as saying.
"He should just let the other s**t go, and if he can't, then he needs to see someone and talk about it. It's one of the things I learned from getting sober - to just let the past go," he added.(ANI)
